Arts and Communications Magnet Academy Replacement

Project Overview

Arts & Communication Magnet Academy replacement included demolition of an existing school building, portables, and site buildings and construction of a new 75,000 SF, two-story arts school addition, which houses up to 725 students grades 6-12. Construction included new exterior improvements, construction of the new building, and associated site work. The Performing Arts Building, northwest parking lot and driveway remained open during construction. An updated low voltage data system was also added to the project.

Awards

DJC’s People’s Choice Award for 2010 for the original building constructed by Robinson.

I want to take a minute to compliment Ryan Weehunt, Bryan Kenney, and Ray Seeley on the excellent effort they are providing on the ACMA project. Their professionalism, thoroughness, positive attitude, and team approach makes the job progress in a very positive fashion. The District is very pleased with the progress and quality to date and look forward to an exciting final product. Thanks for being our partner on this facility.
