With the birth of his son, Randy, came the inception of E. Lee Robinson Construction Company—a humble beginning that over the next seven decades would evolve into a powerhouse in the construction industry. Drawing strength from his dedication to his family and the support of his community, E. Lee instilled values of integrity and excellence into the fabric of his company. The company swiftly gained recognition as a premier residential contractor, undertaking the development of hundreds of local housing projects and popular apartment complexes. E. Lee poured his heart into every new project, earning the trust and admiration of clients across the region. But it was his hunger for innovation and growth, coupled with his ability to impress and garner support within his community, that propelled the company forward. Through his efforts, he cultivated partnerships that proved instrumental in the company’s success.

Randy Robinson reflects on the rapid advancement of the company, sharing, “Dad just said, ‘I’m gonna go be a carpenter.’ He started when I was born in ’54, and by ’64 we were building warehouses. I’ve always been pretty amazed with what Dad did.” As Randy transitioned into leadership within the company, the company evolved into Robinson Construction Co. Drawing from his experience growing up alongside the company, Randy brought a fresh perspective and a vision for expansion. Randy shares, “From the beginning, Dad looked for folks who shared his values and treated each other with respect. That’s what kept the company moving forward. I picked up on that too, and those partnerships helped me get to where I am today.”

Continuing the Robinson family legacy are Ryan and Chris Robinson, Randy’s sons and now co-executives of the Hillsboro-based company. Their formative years amidst blueprints and hard hats with their grandfather and father have instilled a drive for innovation and a reverence for tradition.
